Collective Open Heart was born from the understanding that life will break us open again and again.
There are moments of deep grief, heartbreak, loss, illness, and betrayal — moments when closing your heart feels like the only way to survive. When staying in bed, turning away from the world, and never trusting again feels safer than feeling anything at all.
But closing the heart comes at a cost.
Not a physical death — a quieter one.
An emotional, spiritual, and inner fading.
At the same time, we are living in a world that feels increasingly divided, overwhelmed, and afraid. More than ever, there is a need for openness, acceptance, and compassion — not just individually, but collectively.
These hearts are reminders to stay open even when it’s hard.
To choose love over armor.
To trust in timing, in the unseen, in the divine — however each person understands it: God, the universe, or something unnamed but deeply felt.
Each heart is different, just as each life and experience is different. When these open hearts are placed together, they begin to form a collective — a visual and emotional linking of individuals choosing openness instead of fear.
Collective Open Heart is an invitation to recognize one another with compassion. To remember that we each have a purpose, a path, and a plan we cannot fully see from the outside. That we are all individuals, imperfect and human, doing the best we can with what we’ve been given.
By keeping our hearts open — and by linking them together — we create the possibility for healing, connection, and a more loving world.
